Trading your personal gold

We all have talents and skills that are like gold. And just like gold, it’s not always obvious how to make it useful for you.

If you had a gold bar, you probably couldn’t get a McDonalds happy meal for it. Or most other things on the main street. You’d have to find a gold dealer, someone who a) sees the value of your asset, and b) has a need for it, and c) has the resources to buy it off you.

These are hard economic times, and a lot of the old rules don’t seem to work anymore. But don’t ever think that your talents and skills are no longer valued – you just need to discover who the “gold” dealers are for your particular talent. Don’t get disheartened if you can’t straight away trade your gold in for a burger. Observe, learn and adapt to the new buyer.
